We are not thinking folks. What is the best way to get JW's to check out the events in Australia.

I was thinking we should all call khs Wednesday and Thursday night right before the meeting by region using blocked numbers. I suggest starting at 7. We are likely to get a ms or elder prepping for the meeting.
Briefly mention Jacksons defense of "our faith" in front of the australian royal commission on Friday. I think we leave what it is about out of it. Give the specific time and link and hang up.
I know for me I almost left with the dateline airing.

An important nuance on the numbers here.
There are 1006 case files.
However, the RC summary of these files indicates there are over 1,790 victims.

I had a very brief discussion with the most uber-uber, zealot J.W.I've ever known about child sexual abuse.
He started the topic by really hammering the Catholic church and its priests for their despicable acts and cover-ups. I couldn't keep my mouth shut - but I didn't want to set off any alarms, so I mentioned that J.W.'s were being examined in Australia by the A.R.C. It was wonderful that a member of our Governing Body was going to defend the Witnesses' position this week, and I was sure that he would give a real witness as to how the Org views and treats paedophiles in the congregation!

Tell them as little as possible. Ask them what is happening in Australia, then make them tell you. Make them do the explaining.
Don't frighten them off with your opinions. Ask them for their's.
Keep them honest.

Anon2 I appreciate your thoughtful response to my post that questioned your intent in trying to get your elderly aunt to develop some questioning interest in her JW organization.
You're absolutely right: I do not know the fuller story in why you did so and acknowledge each one of us responds according to our individual circumstances armed with the knowledge of others and our experiences with them over the years.

So...you could say, "hey, I overheard just the end of something some elders were talking to each other about -kind of hush-hush but sounded like they are going to announce next week where we can log in to listen to Brother Jackson and other esteemed elders give witness to the Royal Commission in Australia. Sounded like they said the Royal Commission wants to find out how to implement the loving provisions of our organization!"
Oh, man, if only you could keep a straight face....
Yeah, that's the ticket!

Anon2 Hey, I just want to say I am really sorry about your poor Aunt that died alone. This is what is so wrong with the borg, taking the love of family away from that older generation when they told them not to have kids/marry was the worst thing they ever did. They don't do it now because without the born-ins (and the threat of shunning)their no.'s would plummet.
