    Too bad, Bendrr.

This politics nonsense is not confined to auto repair shops by any means. I do office work, and I see this stuff happening all the time. Now I work for a government agency where "incentives" have been set up in such a way that the guys (and some gals) at the top are eligible for huge bonuses every year, but the average worker gets the shaft. I am blessed with one of the best bosses in the system, but even she has her favorites, and it does not take a great deal of perceptiion to figure out who they are. I just go to work, do my job, and go home. In the past, I was always willing to go the extra mile, but I wised up when I learned the score.

    Regards,

SandraC, who is a bit jaded

Second, nice guys almost always get the shaft. It's assholes like Rod who just skate through.

That's because the nice ones with normally stick to their ethics while the not-so-nice will do anything that gets them where they want to go.

I had a Romanian friend who wondered why when Romania switched from Communist to democratic, the same people were in power. The reason is obvious: if supporting Communism got them in power, they support Communism. If supporting Democracy got them in power, they support Democracy .Whatever gets them in power, they will do.

Note that I am not saying that Rod is that cold-hearted or dishonest. Afterall, I don't know the fellow at all.
