I'm confused by this. How can they attest that Oto is not a member if they destroyed all record of him? If they don't have any record, how can they know with certainty that Oto was at one time a member? Theoretically, Oto may never have been a member but considered himself one as an "interested one" when the organization did not consider him one. I find it strange that without records, they can attest with certainty that he isn't a member- as, they could just as well attest that he was never a member...seeing as they don't have any record of him! In which case, why shun someone who was never a member?

Hi Oto,
Does the law in Slovenia allow you to tape record a telephone conversation without the other party's knowledge and consent?
If so, you could make a telephone call to the Slovenian Branch Office under any number of imaginitve pretexts using either your real name or some other name and get the person who answers engaged in a conversation. Mulan has related stories of how whenever she called Brooklyn, she could hear the WTS rep using his computer keyboard and then acknowledging that she (Mulan) was a "sister in good standing." It was pretty obvioous that the guy was looking up something in a computer database.
This would provide circumstantial evidence that they had SOMETHING in the Branch Office.

Also they may not have the records because they sent them or a copy of them to another country such as the U.S. after you wrote to them. Ask them if not they but an affiliated person or organization has possession of the documents or a copy of those documents.
