The JW organization uses external signs as a way of establishing its unique role, little realizing or caring that the numbers game is also played by many other groups, religious or otherwise. They also have a ready answer when growth slows down, stops or becomes negative: 'Narrow is the road leading to life and few are the ones on it...' etc.

Maybe in the future the GB will allow "fractions" of wine to be sipped. That might bring up the attendance at the Memorial.
