Any full-bodied, dry/medium dry red wine. A good bottle needn't cost more than £5.00.
I like Chilean and Californian reds. South African reds can be a bit too strong and rough-tasting, IMO ...

When I was in Cairo, I used to order the best thing from a local sushi place. It was a frozen watermelon slushie-just real watermelon, frozen and then blended. In the summer, in Cairo, there is nothing better to ask for. Its easy enough to make, I wonder why more folks don't make it?
Edited to say: No alcohol was used, but I imagine that someone could do so if they were inclined.

I've tried a couple from here and they were a fine drop. Unfortunately, I live on the opposite side of the planet to the brewery, so I have to make do with whatever the importers will bring in.
