after a very long and very hard day's work...

seeing my next, the 9th centennial approach, I realize the task I am performing now, while getting harder and more painful,- one day will be the last time I can do it. Dying perhaps not satisfied because of the unfinished business, but as said,- tired, forced to rest.

look after your offspring, your legacy, your unalterable mark receding into the past, but shaping the future.

The question I have asked myself WHEN I become aware of my imminent passing, will I believe in God again, as I am sure I will clamour for new new insights.

Anyway being alive I can realise my dream, and that is the hope that my boy will remember me with love and that my parental skills play apart in his having a successful life. It's the most wonderful thing giving an education to your child, encouraging them to be dedicated and committed to what THEY want to do. That's the best thing with being free with the organisation in my opinion.

I wasted 50 years in the filthy, disgusting WBT$ cult. I need to catch up on life but it seems hopeless now. Death is the final end in my view. Oblivion. No heaven and no hell.

Sometimes I want death to come and sometimes not. My life isn't as I want it. Some folks say that I need to take control and make things happen......oh, get real.....where am I going to get that amount of money from? Idiots.

    Garrett.

You have a great attitude towards the end that all life must face. Like a paraplegics who come to terms with their predicament, we have to noice but to accept our situation and make the most of it. This is what should drive us to cram as much living into our life spans as possible.

Wealth is only a bad thing if it consumes one's life. Many wealthy people aren't wealthy because they sought wealth, but rather it is a side effect of their competitive success in life. Many entrepreneurs have attained tremendous success from focusing in areas which benefit others or use their wealth to benefit the planet and its inhabitants. The accumulation of material assets is akin to comfort food - sure it feels good but there is no benefit. To most it is a yardstick for success because that's how the media and their peers portray it.

I certainly do not admire people for their wealth but rather how they conduct theimselves in life. How they treat other creatures around them who share this marvelous planet. People who do selfless works everyday are my heroes - nurses, firemen, conservationists and the kid next door who stops his game of basketball to help his elderly neighbors carry in their groceries.

Why do people get face lifts, liposuction and breast implants? I believe they are people who are intolerant of the truth about life and will do anything in their power to create an illusion in which they can exist and not have to face their reality. Accepting aging and death and more importantly, being comfortable with it means humbling yourself , thus allowing you to be honest with yourself and more likely to live your life honestly.

My wife knows what my wishes are should I become terminally ill. I want to be taken to the mountains somewhere to die under an open sky with wind in my face, surrounded by beauty. I want her to remember me as the person I was living my life, doing what we both shared a passion for, not a disheveled person lying between four walls with a myriad hoses intersecting my veins. Though life for me may end there, life goes on in all its glory and it is enough for me that I had the honor of being a sentient part of it.

If our life wasn't so short I think death would be easier to accept. Most of us are so busy with work and other time sinks that we don't truly enjoy life. As I save for retirement I keep imagining what I will do in my retirement. Then I remind myself that my grandmother and grandfather both died at 61. I could spend my entire life working for a point in time and never make it.

That is why I focus on each day now. I hold my daughter and let her know each day she is loved.

We're All Going To Die - yes.

Every organism that has ever lived, has died - fact.

There's no point in feeling too unhappy about this. It's the way things are.

All we can do is do our best and try to live a long, happy life. That's it.

If God exists, then the ball is firmly in his court, not in ours.

    Well said ExamsHater.

Science is telling us that the world is not about human being. To the universe, we are simply neglectable. Even the earth itself is not about human being. Our existence (human race) is simply meaningless to the nature.

Psychologically, this is too harsh for many people to accept. That's why there are organizations out there selling 'hope'.

To me it is not harsh at all. It's beautiful, nature is beautiful. It is all balanced. We're made out of star dust and when we die, we return to the nature. Our atoms actually never die. They are either transform to ashes or to fossils or might make its way to another life.

I like one of you mentioned about death is not harsh, life is precious. So live life to the fullest. If god show up taking you to a better place, that a bonus.

I demand the right to end my own life if suffering gets too hard.

Trouble is the method. I have already kind of decided on pills and booze. I imagine I'll have the booze and cheer up though.

this may sound very morbid but I have suffered enough in life, especially after the WBT$ has destroyed everything I held dear. However, it's reality. I deal with it.

I think the right to die movement has come from a careful consideration of the preciousness of life.

If we can't be here forever, at least we can have some control over the kind of life we live.

If the quality is not there, we might choose to compromise on the quantity.

I have come to accept that I will die just as all before me. No one has ever cheated death.

What I find more sobering is the fact that 200 years from now, likely not a single person living on this planet will know that I ever existed, yet people will still be talking about assholes like Rutherford.
