Since everyone must have me on ignore, i thought i come to this thead and ask simon , why i now have seen 3 different strings for my IP address? I ask my teckie son and he said i should have only 1 IP address. I am uisng only 1 computer and have aol, piggey back on to ATT cable. i use only my alo account to access this board , but occ do use different accounts. I thought maybe that was why i was getting more than 1 IP number, but not so, i have 3 different stings and only use 2 accounts.My son thought that was odd. What do the not technically challenged say?

Either you are going through a proxy or you are being assigned a different IP address (my cable co. does that if I reset the modem)
If you go to a command prompt and type IPCONFIG it will give you your current IP address. You can repeat this and see if it's different when the code changes.
