Would someone with the old green Kingdom Songbook mind scanning and mailing me the song "Grateful Praise?" I believe it's song 16 in that book. It's only a two-line song. My Kingdom songbooks are in storage, otherwise I wouldn't have asked.

It's another of those dub songs which are ripe for parody!

    Thanks!

    Damn Fark!,

No takers. I wish I had one and I would. I had to say somthin cuz I was just watching your lonely thread slide away........ If you do a parody of the song.....you have to sing and send it.( I still think you can sing a bit.)

The real question is: What is Farkel up to now.........???? hehe

Lets make up our own songs:

How about a new one called "Awaiting Reinstatement" for all those who are stuck sitting in the back of the KH, being treated like S**t for six months.....

Or how about "Dirty Handbills", a tribute to all those handbills stuck to the bottom of your service bag.......

Anyone care to put words to my ideas?

Farkel, I don't know which song book you were looking for, but do you remember the kingdom songs from the 50's? I thought that many of them were good. One reason is that they took old, established hymes and changed the words. They also took the music from classical music and added words. When they got rid of that song book, it really bothered. I thought the new songs were terrible, as I know you do.

Yes, he's talking about the 1950 songbook. It was replaced in 1966 with the one with the pink cover which in turn was replaced in 1983 by the one we use now.

    JH:

Thank you for that lovely rendition. I would love to know who composed and played that little ditty.

"Kingdumb" Songs would have been alot more fun to play if I would have had that composition!
