I was browsing around the Watchtower.org web site and happened across their stats.

I found the Cayman Islands to be of particular interest...

There is only One baptized publisher, yet there are two congregations with 169 peak witnesses, 114 average bible studies and 461 in Memorial Attendance.

I can't help but wonder how they pulled this off. One baptised publisher, two congregations. There is obviously not a body of elders in either congregation.

    Elsewhere,

You are misreading the chart. They had one person baptised that year. It has nothing to do with the total number of dubs in the country.

Ahhh... that would explain a lot.

Surely that means one person baptised in that year, not one baptised publisher. If there is only one publisher then he/she is very busy with over 23,000 hours in the field service. !!

    Perhaps you were joking :)

I'll crawl back under my rock and be quiet now.

Reminds me of when I was a kid... I happened to nod awake during the meeting (how did that happen?) just in time to hear the conductor ask the kids a question: "What did Lot's wife turn into? I'll give you a hint, you put it on french fries."

I was so excited! I knew the answer to that! I raised my hand and he called on me and I said: "Ketchup!"

Those 23,832 hours spent were definitely not effective, since it took all that time to convert ONE person!! What a waste of time!

    Elsewhere,

I love the thought of her being turned into ketchup :) but your blushing face was great, I haven't mastered the art of getting those little faces to work - can anyone tell me how to do it ?

    thanks

Ketchup. Great answer Elsewhere. Only a kid could think of that one. How did the conductor respond?

When I was on vacation in the Cayman Islands, I saw JWs walking around. Sheesh. Can't seem to get away from them.
