Deduct 3 points from BRITS score for even CLAIMING Jan H as one of their own!
Silly, of course we still declare war! (Think of Iraq)
I'd suggest that the next time you're visiting our great capital city of Washington DC, you take a tour of ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY where the tour guide would be glad to explain to you, in three easy hours, why we 'never declared war on Vietnam,' and why although the cemetery is laid out in sections according to what war the soldiers died in, you'll still hear it called the Vietnam Conflict!
Of course, I realize I have an unfair advantage when in comes to our Nation's History, since I was born in Washington DC. But Jan, I won't let it affect my feelings about you, don't worry!
Other reasons we trounce our froot-loop cousins:
1. We elect our officials, even if we argue about it!
2. We don't have Sophie Rhys-Jones getting caught bad-mouthing the Royal Family. (God knows, George dub-yah is bad enough).
3. We don't have Camilla Parker-Bowles committing adultery with Prince Charles while his gorgeous intelligent wife is raising his two sons!
4. Come to think of it, we don't have Prince Charles! (That's worth two points.)
