    Red Horse Woman,

: Farkel, honey, why are you not playing professionally?

Because I'm not good enough, that's why. I'm better than Elton John, though. I can't sing, however. That's why he makes the big bucks, and I do it for a hobby.

holy cow man - i grew up playing classical piano, but i haven't played classical music seriously for 10 years and have lost a lot of it. I remember trying to play those same pieces and not getting anywhere CLOSE to mastering them.

you are deeply respected for playing those "industrial strength" pieces, that's for sure. I like the way Vladimir Horowitz played them, personally. He was a little sloppy at times, but his passion and dynamics were incredible.

keep up the good work buddy!

    Francois,

: How 'bout "Poem" by Fibich? Beautiful tone poem.

I don't know that one, but I do know some great tone poems: the beautiful Arabesques by Debussy and the exquisite A-Minor Arabesque by Robert Schuman. They're all on my "A" list. Stay tuned! I love to show off!

Farkel, who is humbly awed and eternally grateful for that awesome person who gave him his music back, and by virtue of that, a major chunk of his life back. Thank you, "awesome person!"

And Farkel says : "Because I'm not good enough, that's why" Hmmmmm. Well, well. And I says : "If you can do that in front of an audience, then you're good enough." However, as anyone who has ever tried to perform on stage will testify, it's not as easy as it looks. Great performance. I'm impressed.

I couldn't hear it. It seems to have downloaded just fine but I get no sound. Sigh.

Chopin is one of my favorites. If you are taking requests, how about considering Fantasy Impromptu or at least that part of it popularized as "I'm always chasing rainbows". Keep up the good work.

Thank you, Farkel. Very entertaining. Talking of which, didn't you write that you play Scott Joplin's music?

    Just whenever you're ready...!

    Farkel,

I have downloaded your music so's to save it in my Da Farkel file. A question: I know that you said that you were playing on a super duper electronic keyboard, is this particular rendition of Chopin as one would hear if it was played on a piano that had been what we call overstrung?

Farkel, yes, that E-minor Etude, Opus 10 is very hard to beat. Did you know that Jo Stafford, pop singer in the fifties, sang a song named "No Other Love" to that melody? Beautiful.
