  The WTS. indulgently constructs its own family by identifying disfellowshipped JWS to

  JWs or people who aren't in their cult, this many times entails the breaking up of families.

  So either your subservient to those men or your not and you will be evaluated upon that subservience.

  Religion is a game of power and control for men and once they have that power and control they usually orchestrate procedures to retain what they have achieved.

  You are so correct there. It is sad but oh so true.

  Your own parents don't speak to you? To hell with changing in their house then, I'd never go back! Let them have your snooty-ass sister.......SHE and the "loving congregation" can take care of your parents in their golden years.

  So sorry you had this experience. Shunning is so terrible when immediate family members do it and they're conditioned to do it for your own good. Really how anyone on the receiving end of shunning for many years can ever say it was good for them is a surprise to me, but some are so indoctrinated they feel they deserve it.

  I am sorry you had to experience that treatment . I will never understand someone like your sister .She has been DF'd before ,and knows how horrible it feels ,yet is okay to treat you that way . Makes no sense to me .

  Your story reminded me that last weekend I was driving down my street and saw my brother and sister in law in there car across from me at the stop sign . It didn't register to me until I passed who they were ....I have not seen them in over 5 yrs ! They shun me ..... I wondered if they were driving past my house on purpose ,but I assume they were just in the area visiting a JW that lives down the block .

  I have a feeling that ....... sooner than we think, the JW.org aka Watchtower...... will become a laughing stock! The witnesses will think they are being persecuted but the truth is, people will be disgusted with them. All their dirty laundry will be hung out for all to see!

  Then .........you can bet your booty that you will be sooooooo glad you were smart enough to the hell get out!
