Of course. If a tree fell in a forest and I was there to hear it, there would be a sound. Why wouldn't there be (if I wasn't there, but someone else was there to hear it)? And can we presume that sound doesn't occur just because no one we know of is around to hear it?
Next, I guess you will be wanting to know how many angels can balance on the point of a needle.
