Where I live, serious garage sale shoppers LOVE to show up early on Friday mornings,(6 to 7 a.m.) that is if you plan on a weekend sale. I guess they want to be the first to buy all the good stuff.

Pris, you know how much I despise him, but in this case the Incredible Bull*****ing Man might have a few ideas; after all, he was always having garage sales and trying to bully people into buying crap. He'd always try to get people to spend a minimum amount, say $10, and he'd throw in a lot of tat as a sweetener. Make sure that if you have friends with particular interests and you're selling stuff in that area, let them know before the sale. Case in point: the IBM was selling all his stepfather's tools that he'd collected over a life time as a tradesman. Had I known, I'd have offered the IBM a few hundred dollars for the lot. Instead, the IBM told me all about his old railway magazines and issues of House and Garden from the 1970s - like I care! He was selling his father's tools for 20c each - he would have gotten a lot more if he'd been bright enough to think of offering them to me - a tradesman.

Pris, how practical is attempting to have a garage sale where Comforter/Dunsscot lives? Has anyone in your Kingdom Hall done so? Does Yoyomama allow you to use your car space for such things? Can you put Fred Hall out the front of your complex? Being such a funny kind of yellow, would anyone stop in? Etc, etc...

Have you thought of those pole signs that seem to be everywhere on weekends?
will the neighbours allow you to have stuff outside on the footpath?

Regarding signs etc, I will look into what's allowed in my area. I've noticed some will post notices in the foyers of neighbouring unit blocks, rather than use telegraph poles.
