Hi auntiem. Yes, the elders got the direction at the elders school last fall that in January, February, and March, the elders must call on all those inactive. I'm sure they want big number on April 16 when the Memorial is and to weed out those they consider "apostate." Don't mention you're posting here or celebrated Xmas or you may be announced as having disassociated yourself. If you have family members you want to stay in contact, check some of the threads on how to avoid this.
