Also because of cheaper insurance to do the fact there there are no windows to break.

Oh, but of course- it's so that at Armageddon, the members won't have to look out at the death and destruction and all of the stuff that is depicted in it's literature. It will be such a horrible sight !! It's really a compassionate thing if you think about it...

In New Zealand there are very few KH's that don't have windows, in fact I can only think of one, in a place called Gisborne (where Beck_Melbourne & Kep come from).
Mind you in Gisborne you'd be well advised to not have windows, in fact you'd be even better advised to have gun emplacements around the perimeter as well.

When Athanasius and I made our covert visit to the KH last October, we asked the elder that question. He said exactly what LB just said: It's cheaper to build without windows, and much faster. I think it's as simple as that.
