Well I am off to see the legendary B.B.King tonight. Just before Stevie Ray Vaughn died I was really getting into his music and wanted to see him live and never got the chance, so before this guy leaves this planet I have to go see him!
I will give all you blues fans a full report later on tonight.

I remember when Stevie died - I had tickets to see the show & he died 3 weeks before our slated concert date! I was so bummed!!!!!!!!

Like you, I never got to see SRV when he was alive - but managed to catch BB King, Kenny Wayne Sheppard and Tower of Power at an outdoor concert in Seattle a couple of summers ago. BB sat during most of the performance - he said something like, "age has it priviledges....." His music and between song banter with the audience was still solid. Enjoy!

Have a GREAT time at the shewwww. :) I've never seen BB but I did get to see Stevie play one time. Unbelievable is all I can say! As I recall this was just before he hit bottom before going into rehab. My friend's sister worked for the radio station that was sponsoring the event ("Falls Fest" in Wichita Falls) and she got him a backstage pass.....grrrrrrrrr!!!! I'll just say that my friend had some stories to tell and leave it at that. Just witnessing the onstage spectacle was good enough for me.
Again, I hope seeing BB play will be a memorable event for ya!!
I missed stevie as well . absolutely loved his style . BB King is a classic , sorry I missed the zztop and BB King tour also. I have seen ZZ top though and they are excellent . I love the blues big time player of it and fan as well . For those who missed out on SRV , they did make a video of his concert at Austin city limits , it is awesome absolutely loved it .

I love BB King!! I was fortunate enough to see Stevie Ray Vaughan live. I was at the concert at Alpine Valley the night before he died and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Robert Cray. We even got an extra treat when Jeff Healey showed up to play also.
It was a real tragedy to lose such a great artist and one of the best guitarists ever.

I got to see BB King for the first time last year...and Buddy Guy...they were some of the greatest shows I have ever been too...have fun at the show!
