(I decided not to put SLUT in the title!)

Sarah, the church gossip and self-appointed supervisor of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's business. Several residents were unappreciative of her activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his pickup truck parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon. She commented to George and others that everyone seeing it there would know that he was an alcoholic.

George, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just walked away. He said nothing.

Later that evening, George, quietly parked his pickup in front of Sarah's house...... AND he left it there all night.

Does this remind you of anybody you know??? Does this remind you of any organization you have encountered???

My apologies to any real Sarah's (or George's) present for this exercise of literary license. Resemblance to any real Sarah's or George's (living or dead) is purely coincidental. Source unknown; this came rumbling down the 'Information Superhighway'.

Mustang, it sounds like a country western song to me. What was that song, something about "who's boots are under your bed"?

I guess to some people life is just one drama after another........why?

Yeah, if she were a jw - any jw could, and would, be under the obligation to "keep the congregation clean" by reporting this immoral behavior to the elders.

Btw, our PO would not eat at Applebee's Restaurant in our city - or any other restaurant - which had an "open bar". His reasoning? Well, if a person were to see him enter that establishment, they could presume that he was going to the bar.

And he didn't want anyone to think that Jehovah's Witnesses went to a bar.

Yes it does remind me of someone, the sister who told me I was not getting into the New System after I attended a night club, only later to be found behind her husbands head in bed with her and my employer.

She always preached to brothers without wearing kleenex on the head. That really pissed me off.
