An Eldub recently said, " Sure, we have changed many beliefs in the last 100 years, but Christendom has had 2,000 years to clean up their act an they haven't done it.".

This was prompted by today's WT session which mentioned Nathan Knorr's eager acceptance of Rutherford's refinements concerning the 1,260 days. Of course, he also said that he can't really keep up with everything. 😳

"Are you saying that Christendom's errors excuse the Watchtower's errors? If the WT leaders are really being directed by holy spirit, why do they have to change any teachings at all? Do they really speak for Jehovah and with his authority and blessing, or do they only think they do?"

These guys claim the the spokesman for god, gods channel of communication so I would ask   " why is it taking so long for god to give them accurate truth and is there any evidence in the bible of god lying to his people as a makewait until a time when he decides to then tell them the truth?"

And suppose the whole thing is a lie?  Whether your beliefs are stable for 2,000 years or you keep changing them every week, if they are lies, they are lies.  Additionally, the washtowel keeps changing many of their lies to even worse lies.  "A generation"?  And what about disfellowshipping children, some as young as 8 or 9, because they were baptized (at their hounding) at age 6 and celebrated a birthday?  Or they saluted the flag.

If the whole LIE-ble is full of lies, the religion that is based on it is also full of lies regardless.  Has the jokehovian religion acknowledged the lies in that damnation book and responded to them?  Have they tried to fix the lies, or just make even worse ones?  And, even if that book was valid, have they tried to conform to it or do they try altering texts to conform to their doctrines?

I would probably respond by pointing out that JWs are part of Christendom, or is he claiming that JWs are not Christians?

I would ask two questions :

1)So, the teachings that have been discarded cannot have been truth, so where did they come from ? Not Jehovah obviously.

    2) How do you know that what is taught now is Truth ?
