Just take a look at that Correspondence Guidelines that was posted earlier today. 100+ pages of WT rules that the rank & file aren't necessarily aware even apply to them. -

- Oral and Anal sex, between married couples
- Disfellowshipping for anything other than EXTREME cases of apostasy, where in the person is UNREPENTANT and their goal is to DIVIDE the congregation.
- That the Governing Body is the ONLY channel and communication from Jehovah
- Birthday celebrations(Many other holidays and events for that matter)
- Abstaining from blood IN LEIU OF LIFE ITSELF. Plus it is DIETARY.
- Yoga?

Emphasis on "works" required for salvation such as the "studying" of WT publication to qualify for baptism, meeting attendance, formal witnessing and reporting all considered essential for salvation, yet the bible references sited as proof to such things are vague and general.

The WTS and its leaders have gone beyond what is written many times in its literature proliferation endeavors .
What is obvious is that the men at the top of the organization indeed have absolute power and control over the organization unto themselves, as well it should be realized that this is their financial livelihood which they live off from.
I have to honestly admit though that the WTS did correctly expose some of the problems with Christendom and its activities and practices , such as worshipping graven images in churches and so on. Celebrating birthdays of deities was an original pagan practice.
That being said the WTS and its controlling leaders made many of their own false practices/doctrines such as dating the return of Christ, the inappropriate blood doctrine and whole list of other doctrines.
You could say it disobeyed certain directions and scriptures concerning preaching of the Gospel . Although should that be surprising being that this organization was originally financially supported by literature sales from its very beginning.
Someone creates certain ideas and sells them to the public and then another one embraced those ideas too and tries to sell them also based off of their own contrived beliefs.
F Franz once said that all JWS are realistically victims from others who became JWS.
The point being is that the organization's doctines were its selling and marketing strategy around itself, so aggeeing fulliy with no dissention was a prime perquisite importance for the sustainblity of the orgazation and the people who do actually live off the acquired proceeds.

To touch on one unwritten rule and going beyond so to speak. the DFing policy orchestrated by the WTS is not according to scripture.
The Scriptures do not say to DF someone publicly, it does not say to DF someone for months after the individual admits to their sins and shows repentance and remorse.
People who have been Dfed have been so for months on end, where in the bible does it say to do that ?
What the bible does say is to stay clear of evil ones and do not associate within them on a individual basis, as instructed by Jesus Christ himself. Mind you the Hebrews previously had other ideas to how to deal with apostates where critical of the workings of the High Priests., they killed them.
