Saddam's Idiot Son Reveals Smoking Gun

Condolezza Rice has apparently told U.N. reps not to bother showing up for a March meeting. So we can surmise from that that this must get done within the next 8 weeks or so...

Saddam may well have links with terror networks, too, to hide the WMD. He's had 12+ years to do so. And the Palestinian suicide mentality seems to quickly infect otherwise peaceable people. And the country is principally populated with people that can't defend themselves, let alone live a decent lifestyle.

It will be hell, though, if the oil wells get set on fire again. Then nobody gets access to that spent energy. We may be forced to alternatives, sooner than later.

All of this is unsettling...there are no easy solutions.

War it is. This war is only about oil in the sense that Iraq HAS oil, so it is a nice side effect that the US gets cheap oil. I have no qualms about using force to protect the flow of a resource that so many lives depend upon. Ambulances use gasoline, so let's make sure they have a steady flow, eh?

This war is about stabilizing the middle east and eliminating radical Islam. The religion must be made to produce watered down, peacekeeping statements - just like the Catholic Church. A Vatican II for Islam? Maybe. The religion itself is not the problem, but the incredible oppression of the cultures dominated by it are a tinderbox for violence.

The Church changed its tune, and now Islam must do so as well.

IF it weren't for oil, would we still act? Well, N. Korea will be the test of that, whether we truly believe that democracy is the best way to stabilize the world or not. Korea has nothing we need, and will be a bloodbath if we act there - so we would be acting from completely altruistic reasons.

I predict that President Bush will release proof of Iraq's chemical, biological, and nuclear plans before we liberate the Iraqi people. I found the following article that was written only a week ago.

White House promises 'smoking gun intelligence' By Toby Harnden in Washington
    (Filed: 16/01/2003)

White House officials have reassured Republicans by signalling that America and Britain are prepared to release powerful intelligence evidence to cement the case for war against Iraq.

Andy Card, the White House chief of staff, and Karl Rove, President George W Bush's chief political strategist, have each indicated privately that the administration has proof that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction.

Mr Card received blunt warnings from conservative Republican senators last week that Mr Bush had to produce a much more concrete case for war if he hoped to keep public support.

Senator Kit Bond of Missouri said more information should be released and asked: "What is the connection between Iraq and al-Qa'eda?" According to sources at the private meeting, Mr Card is understood to have urged him: "Don't worry."

Mr Rove is believed to have used similar language during private briefings to politicians in Washington.

He strongly suggested that the Bush administration already possesses a piece of intelligence from the CIA or MI6 that would amount to the "smoking gun" critics are calling for.

    Perry,

Good article...can't wait to see the evidence. I wonder if it'll have anything to do with the underground moving bunkers the one Iraqi scientist talked about...targeting those things will be a task (I would think).

    Perry,

Good job. Funny how the peace at any cost folks, have kind of disappeared. You even got 2da to change his tune.

Your comments on the socialist dominated schools, the left wing 'feel good' crowd, lose all there 'righteous indignation' when confronted with THE FACTS. Yet they still try to find some way to denegrate and malign Bush and his adminstration.

    back2dafront,

I don't know. Neither do I think that dramatic declarations will be made in the state of the union address either. I do think that Bush will say that they have irrrefutable evidence though. I think that moment of revelation will be saved for an address specifically making the case. Possibly, at the very moment of attack.

But, the leaks are already starting to drip. Time is running out for the Butcher.
