I think you have to take the increase in number of members here in proper context.
I think the 15 minute rule may have an impact on the increase here.

JW's Theocratic warfare: Tell the truth only to those who "deserve" to know, according to the elders' opinion.
JWD Apostatic warfare: Tell the truth to everyone. Let it flow.
Honestly though, people like a place where they're not afraid to share their HONEST feelings about things, pro and anti-Watchtower.

I don't know how I would have found this place if it hadn't been for Uncle Bruce from Oz. But I'm glad to be here with all you nice folks. There are a few I miss: Mommy, my hot girlfriend from Chicago, and too many to name.

Honestly?
Well, in my opinion, I think why this site is doing well: diverse, comprehensive, FUN, not-fundie riddled (occasional troll), information sharing.
I know I am leaving out an item or two, but honestly, this has to be the first XJW site that I have visited, and have stayed, and enjoyed. I love the topics, and I like the general vibe of the site.
The sharing of information: experiences, WTBTS info, (yes, even scriptural stuff), has been most useful. It's kind of like going into the kitchen cupboard, there's something in there for everyone. This is my KD (Kraft Dinner) site. Enjoying it immensely.
Thanks to those whom have e-mailed me: that did not happen much before with other sites. Friendly vibe, gotta love it.

When one gets tired of rehashing WTS stupidity, they can go back to telling jokes, or debating political opinion, or whatever. It's that dynamic. I can agree or have somebody agree with me completely one day, and get sawed down the next, and come to a truce the day after. It's the classic lunch-bucket cross-section. Enjoy!
P.S. You'll find Simon the fairest, most tolerant and down-to-earth guy you'll find as anywhere running this DB, and that's a key ingredient, too.
