"I do wonder how much the JW "anti-woman" thing effects her. I wouldn't say that I taunt her, actually I applaud what she's accomplished. She's bought her own house, finished college, found a great job at a state university, etc., things she never had to do before. I just wonder if this has created a conflict inside her. I just wonder if all this new "exposure" has created some turmoil inside her and she resents me for exposing her doubts?"

Good for her. Sounds like if she's done all that she's one foot out. Sounds like there must be an internal conflict there. Not to give advice, but I hope you can subtly influence her to get the hell out of the JW's. It offers women nothing, esp women who've accomplished what she has. And, even if you're not interesting in getting back together, surely it's better to have a relatively sane ex than a wacko one. IMO, that's what she'll have to become to survive in that religion with all she's got going for her. (P.S. by "taunting" I meant that you play herself against herself, which is esp tempting when *you* know the game, and the JW beliefs. I think you can still do that *and* respect her. I wasn't trying to imply that you didn't!! Just wanted to clarify).

And my 11 year old daughter is well on her way to following in her mother's psycho footsteps

LOL! So is my 9-year old daughter! All of a sudden this "attitude" just appeared. Totally caught me off guard. Where the heck did that come from??? When my son gets out of line a good "KNOCK IT OFF!!" gets him back on track. But not anymore with my daughter. I think she already believes men are dumb as rocks. Just last night the three of us were watching a movie when suddenly one of the female actors says something about missing her period. I jump up and scramble for the remote while my daughter blurts out "How could she loose a period?" My 12-year old son just cracks up. Obviously she begins to realize that this "period thing" isn't the same thing she learned about in Writing class. So she asks "what's a period?" I'm "uh...oh...uh...well, once a month,,,um a woman....um..." Now my son is rolling on the floor laughing. Then my daughter just rolls her eyes back, sighs and says "I'll just ask mom."

Roy, I LMAO ,,, seriously this is some funny stuff......... the things of life, and kids....heheheh.

I have a 9 year old daughter,,,,,,,,, GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY,,,,,,,, she is MEAN as a badger.

That little scene you describe Roy, if my daughter was getting laughed at she would have kicked Jake's(16) ass ,,,,, she is a big girl and has a temper worse than mine...... that is not a good thing..lol. I had the talk with her a year ago, you know just incase those Tampax commercial came on she would know,,,, well again the other day I brought it up,,,,, because I see she is changing already,,,,,, and she said, "Mother, I don't want to here that, I already know!!!!!!!!!" She gets real embarrassed and I try to be cool and not to pushy, but she just stays pissed off here lately.

But thinking about it she was born that way,,,,,,,,, I swear she screamed until she was 3 , then started beating up all the boys in the neighborhood that messed with her. In a way I am glad she is so open, and not afraid to speak up, so unlike I was at her age . I have went out of my way , since she is our only girl( thank god) to teach her she can do anything the boys can, and I whisper in her ear,,,,,,( maybe even better and she laughs).

But really wow the hormones kick in and make our children even meaner little demons. She is going on 10 in march, and heaven help us as she gets closer to having the real PMS. Right now she is in the Pre PMS......... I swear there is such a thing in her case. But God she is so sweet sometimes, and then other times I think she hates me........lol.

I am still laughing at what you said Roy, about your kids........ they love to pick on each other don't they,,,,,, mine are at it all day..... I like to leave sometimes I get so tired of 3 bickering .....lol.

"I know" are probably the two most common words she says to me!

It's also funny in the morning when I get her clothes out before school. I'll wake her up and tell her that I have clothes out for her on her dresser. I'll leave her room, closing the door behind me. I'll go to the kitchen, make breakfest, etc and who do I see a few minutes later? Hannah coming down the hallway with something completely differnt on. I don't even say a word. lol.

I don't think it's a matter of being completely psycho. We're just psycho sometimes. I know that right now I'm going through a psycho time period. But what's great is that I know approximately when it will end. Until then I just have to keep a handle on it and try not to go nuts too much. It's really hard trying to control yourself when you have no controls to use. I don't know if ya'll have caught my drift yet...but it's that time of the month and I feel snappy at everyone and then sad and just want lots of hugs. It's the little stuff that sends me off into rage and yelling. Small differences or preferences. GRRR. And here's some news for you, I DON'T LIKE BEING A PHYSCO. It's annoying and unpredictable.

My mother has recommended the book "Red Tent" for me to read but I have to wait until I can find it. I believe it talks about women in and how they were sent out of the city to deal with their menstruation away from civilization. I WISH! I wish I could get away (and I'm sure there are a few other people who would like me to go away too).
