Someone asked if I would play the theme from the "Peanuts" shows. I said I've always wanted to learn and play it, so this would be a good opportunity for me to do so. I got the music about a week ago, and here it is! I've haven't linked to on my site yet. The rhythms are tricky in this one!

You've only been playing this for a week? Wow, I'm impressed that you could do so well in only a week. I didn't realize it until you pointed it out, but you're right about the transitions. I've only listened to it with the ears of a child, so I never paid attention at that level before. I listened to it again and I can hear your classical background in the first transition at 1:00 minute into the piece. The original plays with a jazz feel and I would think that would be difficult moving around in that format. It seems as if the most difficult part of the piece is the second transition at 1:51 minutes, as it requires you to play not only uptempo but again with a jazzy/blues feel.

How's that for an uneducated and ignorant critical analysis? Of course who said reviewers ever let the facts stand in the way?

Yeah, but did you enjoy it, or does it need to fit some mold to be enjoyed? Musicologists and critics are too worried about the "stuff" and forget to enjoy what is actually there.

I WAS a window washer you know, and therefore never had the pleasure of going to Julliard. I enjoyed playing it, and that's about that about that!
