I suspect they will do nothing. Why should they?
By transfering parts of the factory operations to their Wallkill facility and outsourcing production to other facilities, owned or not, they won't need those Brooklyn buildings anymore. Those buildings are in PRIME waterfront real estate areas. After layoffs where those severed will not get health insurance, severance pay, or other considerations they should save big time on labor expenses. They could rent or lease the properties and make a small fortune every year. Or sell the properties for a large fortune and let the problem be someone else's headache. I think they will do the latter. By making a large fortune in selling the properties, they can offset dwindling revenue for a number of years which by then they would have planned their next steps to keep the WTS existing.
