Well, I don't think I am an apostate, per se. But I did leave and will never go back. I had no joy as a JW and am much happier now.

YES. The two best decisions I ever made were to quit the JWs and to end my marriage.
Though my life is not anywhere near where I want to it to be, I can honestly say I am truly happy.

APOSTATE= dictionary answer " One who renounces his/her former belief" Yes I am an apostate THANK GOD--- I am very happy I am free- sad that they have my family-Happy when I was a JW- MUCH happier now I am not -

I am definately a happy apostate, but I was a happy JW too (until I uncovered the legacy of lies). I guess I'm just happy whatever.

To be an "apostate", you don't have to actively voice a dissenting opinion. Merely feeling within your heart, that you don't believe, gives the Watchtower the excuse to disfellowship you for the Sin" of "apostasy".So, you can't even THINK negatively toward the organization because if you do, you're an "apostate".
