Well I didn't look forward to the drama as much as the closing prayer.

Oh I'm such a damn liar. I was gone long before closing prayer.

I just can't understand why they have those prerecorded stage shows . I can't bring myself to call that drama. This is a religion that brings their young up to be public speakers and the best they can do is prerecord all the dialogue? I would definately feel like an idiot at that point .

Look, we all had to be there. The DCs were long, boring, almost intolerable for teenagers, unless you met some ... well, you know. But if there was one part that was a change of pace, it was the dramas. For that reason only, I looked forward to them.

Was there one that ever stood out?

One I particularly remember was a re-enactment of the destruction of Sodom. Buckets of water with dry ice to simulate smoke, Lot's wife turning into a pillar of salt by suddenly wrapping a white sheet around herself, it was hilarious!

I always looked forward to the dramas. It was such a break from all the boring talks that were given. I especially enjoyed them after a long symposium regarding something absolutely monotonous. (sic)

I always hated the modern day ones though, I enjoyed the costumes and everything. Usually, my parents were so involved with it that I could goof off or talk with the people sitting nearby. :-)

They sucked. The cheesy fake beards and the stupid over zealous gesturing. Grade school stuff.

I actually liked the dramas. Especially the ones that had everyone in costume. Compared to the rest of the boring convention, the drama was always the high point for me (after the lunch break/single's mingle).

Brooklyn Bethel approached London Bethel, a few years ago. They ask if they would be prepared to do the recording for the British assemblies, so that we would have the drama mimed to with a English accent! The idea was to try and bring the message propaganda nearer to home.

Guess what? ............... LB could not be Arsed!
