I don't want to seem negative or anything, because I thought the show was great, much better than Dateline, and Bill did an excellent job, he gets better at this a time goes on.

BUT, did he (Bill) say "They told me that they have a database of 23K......."

Was that Bill saying the Society told him, or was that the fifth estate's editing crew making it sound that way, or what was that? Because we all know that the Society didn't tell him that, they deny it's existence....

Doesn't that look bad no matter who caused that error?

Or did I just misunderstand something?

By the way, I'm logged in on the FTP, Thank you by the way! and I don't see anything in that folder....did someone delete it or did I mess something up?

NO ... the way it was presented was that Bill said two separate sources told him of the number.

Ok, so does that mean that the Fifth Estate edited it to sound that way, or does that mean I misunderstood the broadcast?

Go watch the broadcast again and you will here Bill state to McKeown that two separate individuals at Bethal told Bill the number of files at Brooklyn totals 23,720.

The two individuals are "on the dark side of the force" but are to scared to come forward in public as you well know.

Yes...what hawk said. Thanks, I was just about to reply to that...

As a tip to the others who may be having difficulties with the file, I produced it with Windows Movie Maker version 2 (the latest brand-new release.)

As such, you may need to upgrade your version of Windows Media Player on your system, as it has a .wmv extension, and is proprietary to Microsoft. Windows Media Player 9, which is just brand new, is available now for download if you do a "Windows Update" or go to their site. Just a suggestion! I hope you all enjoyed it!

    Hey reporter...

I have windows XP with SP-1, with windows player 9 and it absolutely refused to play on my computer. I kept getting an error message saying that: Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. In the Open URL dialog, try opening the file using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:" Well it just would not work no matter what I typed in or did. I also tried using my other players that I know support .asf files and they wouldn't run it either. Very odd indeed. But, yet it would run no problem on my husbands laptop which has windows 2000 professional, and media player 7. Go figure....

No problem people. I should be having a new site popping up in a day or two that will be much faster on downloads. Like I mentioned before, I was merely serving this video from one of my home servers - on cable no less, not my faster dsl. This new site will be remotely hosted(not in my house, but in a real server farm) and should be much more reliable and quicker. Folks will be able to choose between http or anonymous ftp to get access to ALL media files --- viewing OR downloading.

In the future, if someone wants to send or upload a media file to this new site, be my guest. It should help ease Simon's bandwidth crunch here and cost him less to run this site.
