Ok, I just read a post that has me close to tears. (it wasn't on any of the threads started or replied to by me)
I know I am really no more than just a stranger to most all of you.
I heard tell that peeps posting to this site aren't "real people", that we're all just names on a screen.
Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
Sometimes I can't reply to threads because they've touched my heart so deeply that I just don't have the words.
But I am connected to all of you.
That's all.
I couldn't agree more. Associating with others here that have some of the same experiences as I have, and that think the same (on some topics anyway :), and that know where I'm coming from......well, it's been a wonderful therapeutic resource for me, and if that makes me crazy, or it seems I'm living in some kind of fantasy world.....at least I know I'm not alone, I'm with ya nilfun!
nilfun, your no stranger, just jump in and say whatcha gotta say. No need to hold back. You said what you had to say, and that's all there is to it. Keep'em coming.

I feel the same way quite as you do Nilfin.
The people here on this forum have done more for me emotionaly than all of the people that I have called friends while in the troof. I have spoken to only 3 people on this forum either by phone or in person but I feel that they are some of my best friends.
Thank you Nilfin for reminding me of this.

I was reading on here way before I began posting. I was just afraid I wouldn't fit in or know what to say. Or, that I would post a thread, and no one would read it.
We're human. You're human. You accept us. We accept you.
No guilt, no shunning, no rejection (at least that's what Simon promotes, and regular posters agree with that.)
Plenty of love and support from caring, sincere people.

That's what happened in me every day, almost every hour, for the first couple of weeks after I joined the forum...and it still happens to me alot (e.g. last night http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=45721&site=3&page=1).
And yes, these posts are just words on a screen, but as I meet more and more posters IRL, the screen becomes reality.

My only regret about this forum is that I will only be able to meet in person a very small percentage of the personalities I meet here. Even those I strongly disagree with or I feel are obnoxious xxx's they are still stimulating and fun to dialog with. Too bad we have to depend upon electrons and spastic fingers to communicate.
