d) Slow walk like waiting to get re-instated
My shoes lasted a long time.
Poor me, I was a (b). Definitely the overzealous teen pioneer wannabe. Got accepted to aux when I was 16. Did about 6 months. It was just what I thought I was supposed to do.
I was a moderately pace walker........unless I went with an experienced pioneer, or worked with the CO. The "Pioneer walk".....how nice. Show no eagerness to tell the good news.......just get in your ......"time"
I haven't walked door-to-door for over 15 years due to a physical disability.
But phone witnessing has a element of rushing and leisure. I always laid out the table at home with a carafe of coffee and my favorite cup. I would lay out my list of prospective callees along with a cheat sheet of what I COULD say. I would call. If no answer mark that down and then have half a cup of coffee and read the paper for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Then try another number. If I got a "hearing ear," I would chat as long as possible sharing just general topics, the weather, the state of each one's health, why we were home then, what we were looking forward to, make it last as long as possible (yes, strangers have always told me the most personal things whether on the phone or in person. I am a natural born counselor. I think it is tattooed on my forehead). Then I share a scripture. One time I read the Sermon on the Mount for one lady.
I usually only talked to 1 person in 2 hours of making 4 calls. A better average than door-to-door.
But that is all behind me. I can no longer take the "message" laced with lies to anyone's door or phone. But I do count my time here just to keep the elders at bay until the day I no longer darken the door at the KH.

I bounced between C and G, with an occasional D every now and then.

Good Day to you Ozzies.
when I did go out on occasion I would do a (b) moderatly fast. i hated how slow the sisters were, I just wanted to get in and out of the neighborhood.
sorry I have two answers
I ended up with a (g) didn't go, I felt guilty writing time down when no one was ever home so about a year and a half before leaving the borg - I didn't go- I did count my hours by talking to my sons.
I started off like a: full of zeal and gung ho, but ended up somewhat like d: dreaded it, walked slowly and sometimes hoped no one was home.
(b) Mr. Shakita was very zealous and I had to run to keep up with him.
We were always the very good witnesses, counting time only when appropriate, and rounding off our time to the nearest hour. Jehovah must have been very proud. Ah, the memories.........
