perhaps not too long before they're DF for possessing non JW Bibles...!..
Sounds far fetched? Not many months after the grey Bible was pushed out I got a good talking to for using the 1984 edition of the JW Bible, and I have heard of the same elders chastising members for not using only the newest update of the study Bible instead of their 2013 (?) edition.

No, not at all. There are publications dating back to early 70s on the Jw app, - although no ‘Commentary on James’. Selective quoting from that could be fun.

I got disfellowshipped for being caught with current literature and understanding it. But I view this as a positive.
