  The elder is an idiot living in fear of the "watchtower god." What's new?

  The coming war will oust Saddam from power and destroy his republican guard. He does not have a nuke yet. His neighbors hate him as much as the US and Britain. The world wants a leader of Iraq that they do not have to worry about anymore. They are sick and tired of dealing with the dictator from Hell. With the exception of Jong from North Korea, the Arab World for the most part will welcome the "war" to come. There will be no WWIII, there will be no "end of this system of things"...........only the end of the reign of a mass killer, to be replaced with a leader/leaders who will work with the rest of the world for the "peace and security" that will be one day.........not because of a bloodthirsty God, but because of decent human beings who have a vision of good and are willing to be proactive for peace. Unlike our God, who seems to be sitting back and watching and waiting for his JW puppets to hide in their "interior rooms" and wait for the destruction to pass.

  First: I`m a European. Most of European people are against this war (90%).
  
  Second: I`m shure USA will fight alone. There will be no majority in the UN.

  USA have (max.) two weeks to win the war against Saddam. Without heavy destruction on side of civilian people.
  
  If this option fails (and I am convinced that it fails) or if USA even is going to strike with nuclear weapons against Irak, the war will turn its face against the USA and THE WHOLE FREE WORLD TOO (no matter if they were with US or not). Great parts of the arabic and islamic world will get in conflict with USA then. You cannot imagine what happens consequently. The world will rush into a financial and economical collapse you cannot look as quickly enough to watch it....

  the Us will whipe out the remaining iraqi forces without loosing one man (with exception to friendly fire maybe).

  second absurditiy....no one will turn against the US no matter what weapons they use (and they will certainly NOT use nuclear weapons).

  i assume you are sitting somewhere in good old germany!? Schoene Gruesse aus Wien!

  we will not exterminate the human race. for several reasons...a) the people in charge are very interested to stay in charge and to have a good life. they are not interested to get killed. hence a war that would kill everyone is never faught. b) many people would always survive even with a nuclear war. the idea a war could wipe us all off the face of the earth is unrealistic.

  just in case you misunderstood me...i am not PRO war! i hate everything connected to the military! i am opposing the war with iraq (which drives some guys here crazy :-)

  BUT the sad fact is that humans will always fight...at least in the foreseeable future. it would be VERY unrealistic to think otherwise.

  Nice to hear you are a pacifist too.

  I`m convinced mankind will achieve a period of time where they will cease to fight against each other. Its a prophesy I am sure this will come true.

  The way to arrive that goal ist hard; very hard.

  As for me, I am convinced that a US-strike against Irak is no walkover. As longer such a war lasts, as more suizide-attacs against USA and other western military and civil structures will be launched by extremists amd fanatics. And if there are million of people fighting in such a manner against western industrial society, there will be no chance that democracy can survive such a situation.

  Dont forget that one billion people suffer under very low standard of life. They feel that a heroic death is better than a life in hunger and misery. They have nothing to loose. But a GI has.....
