"When any one of Jehovah's Witnesses is accused of an act of child abuse, the local congregation elders are expected to investigate."

well thats where it all falls down really isnt it? i mean, dont let Satan's police investigate it for gawd's sake!

i fail to understand how any JW doesnt see thru just that one statement!

as long as the WTS insists that this policy carries on, there will always be cover-ups.

but will the WTS ever change it? well not until they become bankrupt.

This is the sentence that really makes me mad:

Suppose, for example, that a long time ago a 16-year-old boy had sexual relations with a consenting 15-year-old girl.

It completely demeans the subject of child abuse, reducing it to two horny teenagers going a little too far. They say nothing about the FOUR-year-old girl and the 14-year-old boy, do they?

There's an old saying that says one call tell how good and decent a society is by how it treats its weakest members. Reading this nonsense it's clear how the Witnesses treat their weakest members, children, and how much they value them.

    Disgusting if you ask me.

. If the accused denies the charge, the two elders may arrange for him and the victim to restate their position in each other's presence, with elders also there. If during that meeting the accused still denies the charges and there are no others who can substantiate them, the elders cannot take action within the congregation at that time.

That poor child.. who is already scared out of their wits about going to the elders in the first place then has to go and FACE the scum that abused them in the first place..

    The law sucks!!!!!!!!!!

I cant believe that... not even in the crimminal law system do they do that
