I go away for a day, come back and WOW!
I was laughing my butt off over here, reading peoples' postings on the topic of Soviet Canuckistan.
Thanks for everyones thoughts, I had a good rip snorting howling laugh going on here during the entire thread.

My city's population doubles every winter due, in large part, to the Canadians "snowbirds" that come here to escape Canada's harsh winters. Most come from British Columbia, Alberta, and the province that starts with an "S" ..Sastcat...oh, never mind..he he
Canadians, for the most part, are very nice and friendly. Especially if the Canadian dollar exchange rate is good. I used to work in banking and if the rate was up, they were all smiles!
We even have a Canadian/American day here. They are very important to our local economy. Lots of money spent when they are here. They also take a ton of liqueur home with them when they leave. I guess it's cheaper to buy here.
Here in the lower desert of California, we LOVE our Canadians.
Except when they drive.
