Not a tailor made sick-regret, but a cuban - that's different
Would you do this in front of jesus....or what would jesus do is an unfair question. A person would be an extreme phony to Jesus........since he knows the heart supposedly.........to ACT as though you were rightous while around him.
Would you fart in front of Jesus? Would you burp, have a shot of tequila and chase it with a beer, or would you take a leak in front of him? Everything seems bad in front of Jesus!
BTW......I personaly would do all the things I mentioned above....in front of Jesus....( except fart....I wouldn't do that )
*LOL* Gumby...yeah you would fart in front of him...then blame it on him too...*LOL*
Sincerely,

I don't try to convince people that Christians shouldn't smoke. None of my business. Let them do what they want to do.
My JW friend of 33 years, has a son (36) who smokes, and it drives her crazy, and his father feels like he is lost to them. Over smoking???? Get real. I try and try to make her see that it isn't that big a deal, but they are so militant about it. He has much worse problems than smoking cigarettes, but they won't go there. Smoking is the issue they focus on. (he has been inactive for about 10 years)
Anyway, leave it alone. My two cents.
Ahem....cigarettes and alcohol aren't comparable, imo.
One drink per day is salubrious, no amount of smoking is healthful. It's overdrinking that is harmful. One drink per day is probably rarely addictive either.
Otherwise, your question is good.
No, I wouldn't offer anyone a cigarette, not only because I don't smoke, but wouldn't want to contribute to damaging their lungs.
Cheers!
Pat
Bingo, Mulan... it isnt that big of a deal, except in some peoples minds. There are way worse things a person could do, and maybe are.
My wife caught our son smoking when she came home unexpectedly a few weeks ago. He wasnt scared, nor did she make a big deal over it. When she told me, I told both of them that if that is the worst thing he does, I am all for it. The subject was dropped and I dont know if he is still smoking or not.
I was treated like I had leprosy when I was found to be smoking (almost 30 years ago). My parents turned me in for it, and I got a letter of disfellowshipping because of it, with no hearing. I found it interesting that a smoker can get tossed aside, but a child beater doesnt. Very strange.
