ISIS is seducing people you know.

But we all think this guy Khalid Masood was acting alone. Of course he probably is influenced by newspaper headlines about the war in Syria and by his own radical links in the past. But what actually made him do this yesterday looks planned - the gates to Palace yard were open for voting MPs to come in quickly and make their votes - they are normally shut. So perhaps this terrorist knew they would be open or else he was being opportunistic. whatever the case maybe he was intent on killing as many as possible and intent getting as close to parliament as possible.

the worst thing people can do now is to get angry at the wrong people - you seem to be saying we should get angry at the right people.

    Gotcha - good point ...

Those bastard, c**ting Jihadi pigs ... kill them all!

    Thank you, Ruby.

Sadiq Kahn suggesting terrorist attacks are “part and parcel” of living in a big city is normalizing it.

Well perhaps being bombed to oblivion by the US and the UK is 'part and parcel' of living in several Middle East countries.

Perhaps this is less about religion and more about the consequence of foreign policy.

    Landry thanks for that.

on the 6pm news people are paying tribute to Keith Palmer the policeman who was murdered. He has such a kind face and eyes - but this how most of our policemen are. Such a crying shame that he is gone. We need people like this in the world today.

Perhaps this is less about religion and more about the consequence of foreign policy - the UK government rightly takes the view that bloodthirsty Jihadists do not get to dictate UK foreign policy. Most sensible people agree with this.

Furthermore, the Jihadi in this attack - Khalid Masood - was British-born with ancestry in the Indian subcontinent. The only thing that connects him to places affected by UK foreign policy (e.g. Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan) is religion.

It is ethnicity and language (Arabic) and culture (think of the Ottoman Empire) too. Anyway he was a violent criminal and took the opportunity to become notorious.

it is just too simplistic and self serving to focus only on religious links. The government isn't so perhaps it is best to take our cue from them? Or do u want to look very very stupid indeed on my thread luhe

And many other attackers in other countries. Well said.

And you all wonder how morons like Trump get elected with this head in the sand mentality

Its instances like this which adds weight to the suggestion that the practice of the Islamic religion should be banned in all modern non Islamic countries.

The social psychological persuasion of killing people for the praise and glorification of Allah and this religion's systematic belief is something that is not acceptable in modernized civilized and cooperative societies.
