I never really viewed the UK as being more than semi-reluctant-slash-part-time members anyway (kinda like Batman and the Justice League in the comics, maybe )
Case in point: they never dropped the Pound Sterling currency.

Case in point: they never dropped the Pound Sterling currency - luckily, we didn't.
When Tony Blair was Prime Minister, he wanted to drag the UK into the EU single currency (Euro) but the then Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown put his foot down and flat out refused.
Disclaimer: I generally don't like Gordon Brown but that was the best thing he ever did.
I never really viewed the UK as being more than semi-reluctant-slash-part-time members anyway - actually, this is not so.
In the Scotland UK independence referendum, the Scottish electorate voted to stay in the UK.
That's the only real evidence we have.
There is no real evidence on the opposite side of the debate.
Brexiteers are stupid ignorant xenophobic morons..aren't they?
All I could hear from older people during the run up to the referendum was foreigners are taking our jobs and sending British child benefit home to their kids, care of Nigel Farage's campaign. I don't think that all brexiters are xenophobic snugglebunny but there was a lot of it about. Now many of them are regretting their vote, saying we were deceived. Yeah that's democracy.
The decision to leave the EU was the correct one for the long-term future of the UK. Those who believed Brexit would lead to instant prosperity and that the process would be pain-free are naive fools.
The EU is a monster that will never be satisfied until nation-states are replaced by its unaccountable authority.
There will be no second vote. Brexit will happen. All will be well.
All will be well
Ahh, so comforting. I feel fine now.
After reading this it looks like being free will be a long time coming.
