That's a standard way for braindead JWs to excuse the organization's bad or even criminal behavior. No matter how the issue is presented, if not presented by the Society itself, no matter who presents it, no matter what facts are brought out, the average JW will reject it. They're not interested in truth, facts or ethics, but in protecting the name of the holy organization.

The fact is that the Watchtower Society would have done nothing about the abuse issue unless it was forced to by publicity generated by Bill Bowen and his supporters, many of whom work behind the scenes. When did they, for the first time ever, tell elders that they must not hinder a person from reporting abuse to authorities? In November, 2001, at the Kingdom Ministry School for elders. A few months later similar comments were given to all JW congregations. By that November, the Society was already aware that NBC Dateline was going to expose some of their abusive and irresponsible policies, so it's obvious that putting these rules in place was nothing more than a cynical attempt to claim that their policies are wonderful.

I could go on but the disgusting practices of the JW organization are making me sick as I sit here typing. These bastards deserve to rot in jail for the harm they've caused to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of innocents.
