I just want to add that while Francois rants and raves and refers to Stinky n the most derragatory way, he calls Stinky's attitude "bad". But then all blacks have "bad attitudes" don't they Francois?

I think that Caligula would have taken a pride in some of the bullying we sometimes see on these Boards. I am very old fashioned for which I am not apologetic but I see no merit in keyboard bullying, especially toward a young lady who is obviously distressed by what is happening.

Not long ago my mother was in a grocery store doing some shopping. She was speaking in Spanish to her sister over her cell phone when a lady came up to her and asked "Excuse me miss, what language are you speaking?" My mom proceded to tell her that she was speaking spanish. This ladies reply was "Well you are in America now and you need to speak English if you are going to live in America". Needless to say, my mother (who speaks perfect English) was shocked and actually came home crying because of it.
Francois, is this what you really believe? If so may I point out that MY family has served this country as well, MY family had died for the rights that ALL Americans enjoy today. And most of all, did you even know that English is not the official language of the U.S? There is none.
Regarding your comment to SP about Cubans in Florida. I can assure you that had if some Cubans or Puertoricans heard the conversation (if you can really call it that) between you two, it would have been you that would be picking himself off the ground...... if that.
I will not sit by and have a friend trashed simply because of her race. I would honestly ask you to simply drop this. Do not bring it up again. Think whatever you are going to think but there is no reason for you to have taken this as far as you have.

Yes, I too would like to think of this place as a place for support...a healing place, but we all know that that isn't always the case.

I believe if someone wants to live in the US, they should make an effort to learn English. And the vast majority so, knowing that it is simply easier to know the language of the country you're living in.
But what I get sick of is people constantly picking on Hispanics about this. Why is it always about Spanish? Here in Chicago there have been for decades pockets were Polish and German is spoken as commonly as English is but no ever bitches about it.
Oh well...I'm not even sure why I argue about this.
SP, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. I'm a face to face combatant. I don't put to much importance on internet squabbles. It seems that everyone is yelling about MY country and you should be speaking my English language, how sad. Gee, I wonder if there's a true history book around so we can all consider it together? What do you think a true history book would reveal? Anyways, there's no need for anyone to leave this forum, to do so, would only mean caving into others. Didn't Job pose a thoughtful question to his wife when he was told to forsake his God? He said, are we to accept only the good things from Jehovah and not the bad?
