But I thought they had stopped publishing major new books?
Where did the rumour come from I wonder.

One year the WTS was close to the wire announcing this; since it is broadcast in the congregations except for a select few (in the past anyway), maybe they are taking time. It is held in the beginning because they unofficially believe Jesus was born then and many "prophesies" and "spiritual events" took place then.

Oh god, after the excruciatingly boring hash they made out of their "Isaiah" books, don't give them ideas.
But anyways, they wouldn't release a book out of the convention cycle.
My guess is that they will only occasionally have a nationwide / worldwide broadcast of the AGM, to make it seem more "special" when they do so. Events tend to lose their luster if they are done with regularity.
