Mr. Rogers, Mr. Dressup, The Friendly Giant. They're all gone now, along with a piece of my childhood. :( Sad day.

I just noticed something. He was the husband of but one wife. A delightful accomplishment in this day and age.

starfish........ I used to love The Friendly Giant......... "and for someone who likes to rock... a rocking chair in the middle" .... and then you'd see the big boot.... "look up...... waaaaaay up" *sigh* "The Friendly Giant" was only a 15-minute show, but it was the best 15 minutes in the day when I was little.

I'm glad these wonderful, gentle people were part of our growing up. The world needs more people like them.

    Love, Scully

I didn't know that he died till just now...I am just getting home from classes and see this.

Thank you Mr. Rogers for helping me with my colours, my alphabet, learning how to count, how to tie my shoes and most important of all for me now...the thirst for knowledge...you are one of the many people that I can thank for helping me on my way thru university. I thank you for being my neighbor.

I was so sad to hear Mr. Rogers died......

I grew up with Mr. Rogers, as well as Romper Room and Captain Kangaroo. I feel as though part of my childhood just died with him.
