Has any1 heard of this guy, Weaver...he is a zone overseer
and he is coming to our country from U.S.A. to have a talk...

However, he reminded the students: "Whatever you must face in the way of human trials, Jehovah has an interest in it. He will never allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear."—1 Corinthians 10:13.

Who are included in the "all" toward whom we must exercise patience? The speaker answered: ‘Those you will meet in the field service. The brothers and sisters in your new congregation. Your fellow missionaries. Those in the branch. Your mate. Yourself.’ Why be patient in all our activities? ‘Brothers and sisters,’ the speaker explained, ‘patience reduces stress and anxiety. Patience makes for peace. Patience keeps hope alive. Patience helps us maintain our joy in serving.’

Leon Weaver was one of my CO's years ago. Last public talk I gave he was in that congregation. Said he was headed off to France the next day. I thought he got an upgrade to "Given One."

Leon Weaver is on the U.S. Branch Committee, and as izo said Weaver is also VP of the new corporation. He is African-American, married man in his mid to upper 50's. I think there is a picture of him with the other Branch members in the 2003 Yearbook.

He spoke at our district convention last year. Average run-of-the-mill speaker, nothing like J.R. Brown.

O yes , Leon Weaver- he is considered by most black bethelites to be the most important high ranking black man in the Organization, perhaps even out ranking the new black GB due to years of service and influence

he could bend Ted's ear in a manner that even the new black gb can't

when i was at bethel he was one of the Idols that most black bro in bethel aspired to be like due to being a Bethel heavy- he gave black bro hope that we could reach the top of the game-

these black men were considered the torch bears among many black bethelites --for when many of them entered bethel-- cleaning was the only place to go back in the 60's

so many of them as they will tell you rose thru the ranks from the field co, do and then were called to bethel they came in as heavies

Leon weaver is part of the men who are responible for the creation, formation of rules , procedures and polocies that 100's of 1000s of elders carry out, if any child abuse policies are changed HE WILL BE PART OF THE TEAM OF MEN WHO WILL DO IT-

HE holds so much power in the palm of his hand ---------lives that literally millions of jw have given over to this fool-

Actually, we are planning to put an article on our site about his
visit to our country...we would like to know as much as possible
about this guy...a picture of him would also be nice...does any1
have 2003 yearbook and a scanner?
