Why should WE be the bloodguilty ones??

  It struck me just how odd and weird it is that JWs are told that if they do not preach, they are "bloodguilty" for failing to warn people of the upcoming destruction at Armageddon.

  Hang on a minute now, hang on!

  Why should a mere human be made to feel "bloodguilty" and "responsible" for "failing to warn someone" of Gods wrath??

  These average people are not the ones who are about to unleash a genocidal massacre on 99% of humanity (including babies born to non-witnesses)

  The genocidal massacre is being done by the "Almighty" himself! Why does he have to be so keen to kill so many people, and why isn't it HIS responsibility to warn people?? Why does he expect humans to warn other humans of HIS impending temper tantrum??

  Guilt is a good way to keep the advertising going for wt Corp. Good for nothing slave is what I remember being told. God supposedly has our best interests then he could talk to us all.

  The whole concept of need of preaching is based on illogical grounds. For example, Jesus reportedly warned: “Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven.” (Mathew 10:32) This statement (often used to encourage the preachers to do more) dishonors Jesus and God who sent him because it essentially means: ‘If you do this we will do that for you’ which is same as the commercial attitude of the world against which Jesus himself cautions us in great length (John chapter 15, 17 … etc) and contradicts other fundamental truths Jesus emphasized earlier such as Mathew 5:44-48.

  It is unlikely that Jesus gave it especially because a spiritual person would not say ‘fear should be your motive behind your service to God’ (Mathew 10:28). What is done out of fear is mechanical and is also as good as nothing being done.

  A Good point stuck ,just another example of us ex JW`s accepting something without thinking it through in our willingness to believe whatever came out of the G.B.`s mouth but not anymore.

  The whole argument around the necessity to preach due to bloodguilt, performing a lifesaving work and so on makes no sense whatsoever.

  Of course, when I was in then it was completely logical however when you start to reason on the scale of the work, the implications for those not reached, the conflict between destroying the vast majority of people and divine justice, people being better off dying before Armageddon, what actually constitutes someone's "chance" and on and on and on then the arguments for preaching simply become ludicrous.

  The only argument that has biblical backing and I don't have a strong counter argument for is that Jesus commanded his disciples to preach about the Kingdom and make disciples themselves.

  If the WTS shut up about all the other arguments and simply said "we do it cos Jesus asked us to" then it would be a hell of a lot harder to deny the need to preach.

  Maybe the Almighty was an optimist when the command to preach so that we're not bloodguilty was issued. Perhaps he thought there'd be a successful conversion rate so there'd be minimal carnage at Bumageddon.

  Ah, who are we kidding. The big guy upstairs loves a good brawl. No wonder he made himself so obscure and hard to believe in. More people to destroy - YIPPEE!

  Because, such humans themselves promise to God and the WT during their baptism that they would preach and are ready to be held accountable for not participating in this life saving work.

  It works well as a guilt inducing trip for a scam cult. I imagine the cult leaders know it's all hogwash but gleefully enforce it so that they can live like rock star popes.

  Guilt, fear and phobia works a treat.....and those pervert lovers know that too.

  You are right. God has not arranged any organization with absolute clarity that matches His messenger, hence God will not hold listeners like us blood-guilty. This is HIS assurance: "Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?" (1 Corinthians 14:8)

  In addition, God knows everyone knows what is right and wrong [and it is not necessary to make people agree on this subject]. Hence preaching is unnecessary and it accomplishes nothing. For example, people are quick to notice the wrong when it is committed by others [which proves they know ‘what is wrong?’] and are quick to seek glory for the good when it is committed by them [which proves they know ‘what is right?’]. We all know what actions of others make us happy and unhappy which means we know what actions to be adopted and what actions to be avoided in relation to others. We have also an ocean of experiences (of our own and of others) to decide what is beneficial and harmful
