They love to tout arbitrary "achievements" which are really meaningless. It's like they want to be the best card in "Religious Top Trumps" (anyone remember Top Trumps card games? They were Nerd Nirvana!)
As people have already pointed out, they do less well at pointing to the genuine good they do. Who have they helped? What have they accomplished that matters more than some statistic?
