UB: Have you no shame trying to start a cross-Tasman shitfight on Anzac day!
Can you think of any better day?? ;) Anyway, I started it on the 26th.
PS: Half of New Zealand now lives in Australia - funny that :)
Actually there is a small amount of truth to this exaggeration. NZ politics is a hobby of mine(!); I was in Auckland for an election night party last time I was there. It seems the Greens Party had done more campaigning in Sydney than in all of NZ (they had Bobby Brown's help!) - Sydney is actually NZ's largest electorate with 300,000 Kiwis resident
Is there a McDonalds there yet?
Yes, and they have something called a KiwiBurger. No, no fluffy flightless bird on it; it's actually just a McOz with a fried egg added.
From your anecdotes UB, I gather it's been some time since you were there; Roger Douglas and crew have swept through the [place and brought it screaming and kicking into the 1950s since then! :)
Shalom: Seriously though, I have no gripes with Australia (apart from Kylie). I may end up living there myself one day!
Your OE? In all seriousness, your political masters are starting to get worried about the Brain Drain. Well the opposition politicians, anyway! :)
