Well, Scoob that's pretty much true of your posts regardless of the subject!

    There ain't no burning hell.

    They got that right.

And then they made no further progress, since the God that's too full of love to hold a puppy dog's tail in a fire, WILL BY GOD make you suffer for all kinds of other things, namely each and every thing the addeled imagination of sixteen senile octogenarians in Broklynn can think up.

Too bad. And they were really onto something good with that no hell stuff. Then they started taking themselves seriously. As in "we speak for god."

    Hehehehe. It is to LARF.

Hey maybe you cant think of anything positive about being a jw but thats because you have made a concious decsion not to be one.

I cant think of anything positive about being gay and in a mardi gra but i would not put a person who was that way inclined down just because they decided to show an intrest in talking to me.

I got it! I got it! They leave conventions CLEANER than when they arrived.

The men know how to tie knots in ties.

The women know how to help them tie knots in ties.

Most of them clean under their fingernails.

I haven't been around here long enough to know. But I was wondering. Wouldn't it be fun? Have there been any takers or requesters of such a thing? Are there other sites where this has happened?

I'd like to add my 2cents here. Being a JW has helped me to see things only my way. If I wasn't born a JW, i would have celebrated all the holidays and I would have had to buy Christmas and birthday presents. Because of my association with the organization, I have not had to deal with any other person that wasn't a brother. Being in the organization has helped me to realize that I am better than everyone else around me and that they're gonna die but I'm not! If I was not a Witness, I would never have read every publication put out by the Watchtower Society. If I were not a Witness, I would probably have gone to college and been somebody that the "world" would admire. If I didn't have the organization, i would have never known about the "faithful and discreet slave".............

It gave me a purpose, and a sense of belonging, and a sense of my personal value.

I now realize that the purpose was misdirected, and that I only belonged insofar as I was part of the group. But in terms of my personal value? I was valuable to them, then, and I knew it. I'm valuable to me (and I think, others) now, and I know it.

I may well have been able to learn these social lessons in other ways, but: I learned them where I learned them. And I miss the people with whom I learned them. God bless them.

    That's life.

Minimus: You ask good questions. I appreciate that you have started to share a little more of your self in your posts. If I may offer a thought: the healing starts with the questions, but comes through the sharing of feelings.

Positive About the Watchtower - I am stealing from Big Tex: I am positive the WT is a cult and preaching a false gospel. I am positive the WT will destruct under its own arrogance and lies. I am so positively happy to be the hell out of there.
