I know Fred Franz had some college, not sure he graduated. Also, I believe Albert Schroeder had some university courses as well. I believe both of them were on the original NWT translating committee.

Interestingly, Schroeder's son is reported to have went to University and is now an attorney.

I'm sure that Geoffrey Jackson was instrumental in the newest version of NWT. His biography mentions no university training at all.

The Australian Royal Commission called out governing boby member Geoffrey Jackson on his secular education, qualifications and schooling. No surprise that he was a middle school drop out without so much as a certificate of attendance for anything.

Fred Franz had some college, but I'm not sure he finished his degree. Even if he didn't, it would be fair to say that he had the equivalent. despite that, I don't believe the WT has ever had a person qualified for original language translation of the Bible.

Lloyd Barry and Albert Schroeder had degrees, didn't they? Don't think either of them involved languages relevant to translating the Bible from Greek etc.

On Schroeder: "He studied Latin, German, and electrical engineering at the University of Michigan."

I have read of a court case where one of the gb/scholars was asked to read some Hebrew and he could not.

Most churches require a minimum of a bachelor degree plus seminary to lead even a small church, advanced degrees are not uncommon. That the leaders of a religion of the size of the Jehovah's Witnesss have not even completed four years of higher education tells you how under qualified they really are.

It also explains why they discourage higher education, they know that an educated membership would soon realize how horrible they are at translating and interpreting scripture.

They all have an equivalency of a college degree, that is if they read their awake for at least four years

If the trend in education keeps up with the Jehovah's Witnesses, they will eventually have a Governing Body made up of men with a homeschool education, at best.
