    Quote from Pale.Emperor:

Wouldn't that mean that God him/herself is even more complex than the Universe and therefore would also need an even more complex creator, and so on and so on etc?

We may easily come to that possible conclusion based upon what we see and contend with in our Physical Realm, but I believe not. There are certain things which the Human Mind cannot easily grasp such as Infinity and a God for whom all things are possible. One day we shall have all of the answers to these enigmatic questions. It's gonna be a good time.

I would suggest reading "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson. It is entertaining and nontechnical but gives a good overview of how we got here.

    Brillian book. It's a must-read.

Orphan CrowThis is because defects in the X chromosome can be overcome in the female with the other x chromosome making up for the defect. However, in the male, if they inherit an x chromosome that carries the genetic illness, they don't have another x chromosome to pick up the job and correct for the defective chromosone

Totally makes sense . I never thought about why it is boys seem to inherit most of the worst genetic defects, or do so more often anyway. It's probably why more baby boys are born, yet more baby girls survive.

While resultant species believed to have evolved are evident, no one has ever come up with fossils of transitional species or a chain of evolving transitional species all connected to the resultant. Also, take the human being, there are no surving transitionals, only the final result. Hence, everything roaming the earth is a resultant species from the mechanics of the evolutionary process. But there should also be around the other species that connect everything together. There aren't any. --There are a lot of explanations though.

Fisherman - That is one of those dumb things that creationists keep telling each other but none of them ever check to see if it's true.

    It isn't.

We have an embarrassment of riches of transitional forms.

I have even described some of them to you in the Evolution is a Fact series but you are too lazy/prejudiced/arrogant/ to bother to read it.

    #11 Tiktaalik
An amazing fossil discovery illustrates the transition of life from sea to land.

    #16 Aquatic Mammals
An excellent sequence of fossils illustrates the evolutionary journey of whales from land to sea.

    #18 Fish Fingers
The evolution of limbs is mapped out in an amazing sequence of ancient fish fossils.

    #20 Lucy in the Sky...
An exceptional fossil of a 3 million year old hominid.

    #21 Footprints in the Sand...
Footprints at Laetoli show our Australopithecus afarensis ancestors were bipedal 3.6 million years ago.

    #23 Faunal Succession...
The consistent sequence of fossils found in the rocks can only be explained by evolution.

#24 The Origin of Your Inner Ear...
How the bones that reptiles eat with became the bones that we hear with.

So then what evidence do you have for your ill-informed assertions?

Cofty, is there any chance you could you put your series into a PDF and upload it somewhere?

It would be really useful to have it as a single document.

It gets murky sometimes. Hard to tell if it’s a bold-faced lie or just extreme ignorance?...

    Pure bullshit nonetheless.

Interesting idea. I will look into that.

You presumably had to read information you initially found troubling in order to see the light and leave the JWs behind. Why not put the same critical thinking to use and read a book about transitional fossils.

    HINT: All fossils are transitional.

Paleontologists have yet to discover any transitional fossils between complex invertebrates and fish, and this destroys the whole evolutionary story.

Fisherman why don't you do a little research before spouting lies?

Do you enjoy being ignorant of the facts? Are you never embarrassed to make a public display of your ignorance?

I could describe the fossil evidence for the evolution of the phylum Chordata but what's the point? You have never read anything useful in your life - your not going to start now are you?

Do your own research - here are some key terms..

Jawless fish; hagfishes; Heterostracans; lampreys; Osteostracans; Anaspids; Placoderms; Cartilaginous fish; Acanthodians.
