The Watchtower is finally coming to grips with the fact that preaching door to door is an absolute colossal waste of time. Not only is it not effective, but it also exposes JWs to debates and criticism, possibly embarrassment.
This is much better for them, it further isolates them right under the nose of the public. They know that JWs will just stand like drones for hours next to the carts without engaging anybody. Money will still come in, hours will still be counted, and maybe some JWs who hate going door to door will be more wiling to stand on the street without talking to anybody, which means more hours.

You've been "on" the forum for over a year. Sounds like you need to take your own advice. The last time I looked, no one was making you dip into posts or expecting you to post in return.
They lost me when they went ON and ON about how excited people were that there was a book in their own language. Really? They are in Europe.
Then again, it's probably the highlight of their day.
