Every living thing on this planet survives by killing off some other living thing ,whether its :

The animal kingdom ,animals prey on other animals ,and fish

Bird life ,birds prey on other birds and fish

Marine life preys on other marine life.

The insect world preys on other insects , and even some plants prey on insects.

Humans prey on just about every living thing to survive including all of the above .

And all of the above takes place while the "victim" is alive and fighting for its life and its own survival.

JW`s bury their head in the sand when it comes to coming to terms with how nature works.

smiddy is spot on. When I started learning more about the natural processes on Earth, it suddenly hit me, in order for there to be life there MUST be death. Put another way, death feeds life.

It was then that I realized how f'ed up all religion is that believes death is due to sin.

Agree with Heaven - Smiddy is pretty much bang on (although most plants don't feed off living things!).

    And let's not forget herbivores.

    Herbivores eat plant life.

And plants are also living things.

    @ Heaven...

    Here's a fun question:

"If virtually every other organism in the animal kingdom ages and dies vie the exact same biological process as humans (i.e. telomerase reduction in cell subdivision), does that mean the animal kingdom is guilty of inherited sin?"

If you can get a strong enough dopamine release from an idea that offers release from the stress of the world, you can addict millions of people and make billions of dollars doing it.

That's part of human nature, too.

    Vidiot- I love that question!

If Adam could eat everything in the garden of Eden except from the forbidden tree, wasn't there some kind of death to the garden and it's inhabitants?

Maybe not in this Solar System , but somewhere else in the Universe their is a lifeform that see`s / views , humans , as a source of food , for them to survive.

It`s not so far fetched really , if you think about it.

TTWSYF - "Awkward exchange with my JW sister in law regarding the circle of life..."

    Wait...

...aren't most exchanges with in-laws awkward, regardless of religion or subject matter?
